Africa is home to some of the world's most impoverished people, with an estimated 1.2 billion people living below the poverty line. The African Philanthropy Network (APN) was founded in 2006 to connect these individuals and organizations with each other and with donors. APN's goal is to strengthen Africa's philanthropic sector by connecting its members with each other, with donors, and with the resources, they need to do their most important work. APN also strives to promote good governance, social responsibility, and innovation in African philanthropy.

The African Philanthropy Network (APN) is a pan-African organization that was founded in 2007. APN is dedicated to advancing philanthropy and empowering Africans to give back to their community. Through its various initiatives, APN promotes social entrepreneurship, builds the capacity of African philanthropists, and fosters collaboration among African donors and civil society organizations. APN currently has more than 600 members from 43 countries across Africa.

Pan-African Philanthropy Awards in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). The awards aim to recognize excellence in philanthropic work across Africa by rewarding organizations that have made a significant impact in their local communities.
